This famous bathhouse is situated in one of the oldest hot springs in Japan, Dogo Onsen, in Ehime Prefecture on the island of Shikoku. Dogo Onsen Honkan was built in 1894 with traditional stone public baths in a fine wooden building with elaborated ornaments as seen on the live cam. Adjacent to this main building is a more recent hot springs complex called Dōgo Onsen Annex Asuka-no-Yu.
