Portland Head Light Live Cam

This shoreline panorama comes to you from the rocky headland where stands Portland Head Light, the most famous lighthouse in the US state of Maine, situated in Cape Elizabeth. The webcam is facing north from the southern end of Casco Bay, towards the city of South Portland and the islands of Casco Bay. In the background, you can perceive Fort Gorges, a military fort from the 19th-century, occupying a small island. Portland Head Light, completed in 1791, is an important tourist attraction on the coast of Maine, along with other historical landmarks within the 90-acre Fort Williams Park. Besides the historic buildings, visitors in Cape Elizabeth can also enjoy the trails on the rugged shoreline and the outstanding areas of Crescent Beach State Park and Two Lights State Park.
