Enjoy this live view of the splendid Duluth Bayfront in the US state of Minnesota. This HD live webcam shows you the impressive Aerial Lift Bridge connecting Minnesota Point - a narrow foreland that you can see in the background - with the mainland. The Aerial Lift Bridge was completed in 1905, being the first aerial transfer bridge in the United States, and between 1929 and 1930, it was reconstructed to a vertical-lift bridge! In the foreground, you see Bayfront Festival Park, regularly used for events and activities such as concerts, festivals, art, food, and during winter, there is ice skating and festive Christmas light display. Next to the park stands a colorful building, home to the Great Lakes Aquarium. The webcam is towards Superior Bay, an inlet of Lake Superior, sheltered by the Minnesota Point - a recreational district featuring beaches, park areas, forest, and Sky Harbor Airport. This distinctive port city forms a metropolitan area with the Superior town in the neighboring state of Wisconsin. Duluth and Superior are known as the Twin Ports.
