Castle Park Live Cam
Built in 1578 by Henri le Balafré, Duke of Guise, the Château d'Eu was bought in the 17th century by the Grande Mademoiselle, who laid out a French garden on an embankment. In the 19th century, the castle became the privileged vacation spot of Louis-Philippe and his family. The king created a rose garden there and planted rhododendrons and azaleas there. But it is the rose that has a privileged place: you can see it everywhere in the castle: table service, decor, woodwork. The rose garden is now being rebuilt by planting old roses, evoking the history of the Château d'Eu by their name. Thus the rose garden mirrors the life of the castle, satisfying lovers of French history and those of the gardens.
