Brown trout Live Cam

The live broadcast shows the endangered brown trout and many other fish species in their natural habitat next to the South Konnevesi National Park in Siikakoski, Konnevesi. The video stream has been carried out in cooperation with the local company Virtapiikki and it gets the energy it needs sustainably from the solar energy produced on-site. Konneveden Kosket is part of the "Rautalammin reitti" - water route, one of the most significant breeding areas for wild brown trout in southern Finland. Siikakoski is known as President Urho Kekkonen's favorite fishing spot. US President Jimmy Carter has also fished in Siikakoski. The fascinating rapids are often called the paradise of fly fishers.
